Compact and cost-effective RF Over Fibre solutions

ETL’s StingRay range of stand-alone RF over Fibre (RoF) products is engineered to deliver compact, cost-effective solutions for interfacility fibre links (IFL). These RF to optical converters efficiently transmit and receive entire band polarisations over single-mode fibre, maintaining high signal quality across distances up to 10 km.
The StingRay series is designed to support seamless connectivity between satellite antennas and reception equipment. Additionally, some models are IP65 rated and ruggedised for outdoor use, ensuring reliable performance in various environmental conditions.

StingRay Outdoor Fibre Modules
The StingRay Outdoor (ODU) modules are compact, IP65-rated waterproof units designed for RF over Fibre (RoF) applications, with flexible mounting options and redundant hot-swappable external power supplies.
They feature LED indicators for module, power, and status monitoring and are available in both transmit (1310nm) and receive (1100-1650nm) configurations for broadband and L-band signals.
Select transmit models also provide short-circuit protected LNB power (13/18V, 22kHz, 500mA max). RF connector options include 50 Ω N-Type and 75 Ω F-Type, ensuring compatibility with ETL’s corresponding transmit and receive units.

GPS/GGNSS Fibre Modules
ETL’s StingRay GPS Over Fibre modules are available as indoor or outdoor units, designed for reliable GNSS signal transmission.
The outdoor modules feature weatherproof IP65-rated housing, while all units include LED indicators for power and status monitoring. The receive module offers a -20dB monitor port and remote transmitter status monitoring, while the transmit module includes an antenna fail alarm pass-through and provides 12V, 500mA short-circuit protected power for active antennas.
Both units support redundant power supplies and are available with RF connector options including 50 Ω SMA, BNC, or N-Type, and 75 Ω BNC or F-Type, along with FC/APC or SC/APC optical connectors.
Indoor Power Supply
The indoor power supply’s (PSU) feature a wide input range of 100-240V AC with a fixed 12V output, supporting a maximum load of 1.25A. They include over-output voltage protection, short circuit protection with automatic restart, and compliance with EN55022B standards, CE, and CUL markings.
These PSUs can support multiple units and are available with IEC input and various connector options, including 16-pin Molex, 3-pin Molex, soldered pins, or a 3-way female DC connector.
StingRay Outdoor Power Supply
The StingRay Weatherproof Power Supplies are IP65-rated units designed for reliable outdoor operation, offering high efficiency and multiple protection features, including over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection.
Available in 12V and 24V versions, they include secure Lemo connectors for DC output and bare wires for AC input.
Some models feature a removable cover for hot-swappable redundancy, ensuring continuous operation in case of failure.
