Charity policyETL Systems seeks to contribute to the communities in which we live and work in a number of ways. In addition to providing employment opportunities and minimising our environmental impact, we support a variety of local community initiatives.ETL have a limited corporate budget for charitable donations and strive to make a positive impact in the community and surrounding area near to our offices.Our members of staff have the opportunity to nominate local charities to receive a proportion of our Charity Fund twice a year.cONSIDERING CHARITABLE CAUSESWe consider donations to registered charities whose primary purpose is Education, Health & Wellbeing, or Military.We do not fund individuals who are looking for sponsorship for fundraising activities or initiatives that involve people participating in political organisations and campaigns or any initiative that is outside of the criteria outlined above.Below you will see the charities we have helped along with other examples of how we have made a positive impact on our local communities.Herefordshire Growing PointHelping people living with physical or mental challenges, or ill health, to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of gardening. Established by a group of exceptional women who came together to volunteer their time and support to victims of sexual violence and rape in and around Watford.Herefordshire HeadwayProviding therapies, rehabilitation and reablement, advocacy, carer and family support alongside our wellbeing day services, a comfortable social setting, where individuals living with an ABI can meet people and make new friends. Madley Environmental Study Centre (MESC)The Madley Environmental Study centre formed in 2001 by a group of individuals committed to providing environmental activities for people of all ages and abilities. Set in a beautiful Nature Reserve, covering an area of almost fifteen acres with the spectacular backdrop of BT Madley Satellite Station's 32 metre diameter dishes.Friends of Madley School AssociationProviding facilities, equipment and activities for the children of Madley Primary School over and above what can be provided by normal funding.The Peace HospiceRennie Grove Peace Hospice Care is a charity providing specialist care and support for adults and children with a life-limiting illness in Herts and Bucks.The Tabor CentreDelivering opportunities for adults with disabilities and respite for their families. Set within parkland and close to Braintree Town Centre, the Tabor Centre offers a warm welcome to new and existing members, their families and carers.The Cart Shed HerefordThe Cart Shed charity transforms lives. We work with adults and young people experiencing mental health difficulties or with those of us who have emotional imbalances in our lives. Herefordshire RDAHerefordshire RDA provide riding therapy sessions to people with additional needs – ensuring they can enjoy horse riding and a physical activity. People that attend the RDA Centre range from 5 – 85 yars old and have a wide range of disabilities or additional needs.ECHOECHO is the leading independent charity providing day services for people with a disability in Herefordshire.Yeleni Therapy and SupportYeleni Therapy and Support is Herefords leading Cancer Charity and Therapy Centre offering free support and therapies to people living with cancer and paid therapies to the public.Life and Soul KitchenThe Life and Soul Kitchen is a registered charity café that provides an exciting, different and meaningful day opportunity for adults with disabilities.Hereford Veterans Support CentreThe Hereford Veterans Support Centre was set up to provide a one stop shop of support and a friendly listening ear for anyone in the Armed Forces community in Herefordshire that may be experiencing issues or requiring support in other areas of life or work.NMiTE, Hereford UniversityAs a founder sponsor, ETL Systems made a charitable donation to Hereford's New Model in Technology & Engineering. ETL will continue to work with the Engineering focused university, opening in September 2021, they provides curriculum support, placement opportunities and graduate roles.St Mary's Church MadleyETL made a charitable donation to the local Madley church. The donation from ETL Systems to the 13th century church was to support the restoration efforts of the roof and pipe organ.Hereford Amateur Radio Society (HARS)ETL Systems made a charitable donation to HARS to support their work in radio operation. ETL have worked with HARS previously, who are dedicated to the advancement of amateur radio and social enjoyment.
