Subsystem Integration Services
ETL can offer full rack layout, design and integration services.
Integration of equipment into racks or outdoor units, either customer supplied or Supplied by ETL, including all associated rack wiring and cabling.
As well as the integration of ETL manufactured products, this can include other ancillary and 3rd party items such as power distribution, UPS systems, routers & switches, environmental monitoring and Interface and patch panels.
Testing & Commissioning Services
Factory Acceptance testing (FAT). This can be in-depth testing to customer or internal specifications, or alternatively, less in depth ‘summary’ testing is available. Carried out at ETL premises.
Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) & On-site Commissioning. Testing and commissioning of ETL systems carried out by ETL engineers at the
customer premises.
Other external testing and verification such as environmental , EMC and MIL spec testing can be arranged and carried out by ETL.
Training Services
ETL can offer all levels of training, either on site at your premises or at the ETL offices. Or alternatively training can be carried out ‘virtually’ to meet your budget and timescales.
Training can be fully bespoke to meet your needs and a typical syllabus would cover integration & installation, normal equipment operation, trouble shooting and servicing.
Product or System Training
Training areas offered include:
- Confirmation of test results of key RF data
- Integration and installation of ETL RF equipment
- Normal Operation of the RF equipment
- Troubleshooting – Upgrades and Servicing
- Hot-swap features
- Overview & Operation of ETL PC Software
- Choice of partial or full FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
- Training manuals and certificates issued
On-Site Commissioning Visit
Commissioning visits can include:
- Sample test on RF cables and check that communications cabling is correctly connected.
- Check commands / communications for RF equipment
- Test live signal through the RF equipment
- Sample RF testing (check a small number of samples of key parameters like isolation and insertion loss)
- Training overview to key personnel – to demonstrate normal operations, system cabling, diagnosis and change-out of active components
- Handover of ETL RF Equipment
- Training manuals and certificates issued
On-Site Installation and Commissioning Visit
On-site installation and commissioning visit can include:
- Unpacking equipment and fitting into 19″ racks
- Fit the RF cables into the racks and terminate one end
- Continuity Test the RF cables for good terminations
- Connect cables to ETL RF equipment
- Fit the inter-unit communications cabling
- Check routing commands / communications for the whole ETL RF system
- Connect RF in and out cables to ETL RF system
- Test live signal through the ETL RF system
- Sample RF testing (check a small number of samples of key parameters like isolation and insertion loss)
- Training overview – to demonstrate normal operations, system cabling, diagnosis and change-out of active components. Further sample RF testing to demonstrate compliance.
- Handover of ETL RF Equipment
- Training manuals and certificates issued
Equipment Repair
ETL are able to offer customer support & repair services for faulty ETL RF equipment which is still under warranty or equipment which may be out of warranty (this is a chargeable service).
If your equipment is out of warranty, a purchase order will be required to cover the cost of a repair.

Essential Maintenance
We recommend as part of operational maintenance that power supplies are replaced in matrices every 5 years.
Our engineers advise this as good practice because:
- It maintains the reliability of the system.
- It guarantees that your PSUs are in excellent condition for a further 5 years.
