Meet Najoua, our senior NPI engineer. Find out more about her engineering journey so far & what Najoua enjoys most about being an engineer. What has your engineering journey been like so far?I started my career as a test and validation engineer with SEE Telecom in Belgium. In that position, I wore several hats. On the one hand, I worked closely with the research & development teams. I assisted in the design, development and testing of prototypes. Through this role I acquired strong experience with RF test and measurement equipment.On the other hand, I worked in tandem with manufacturing teams. This is where I created a process that tested a product in manufacturing in order to ensure that the product met the applicable specifications and the required quality. What is your role at ETL & what are you responsible for?My role involves developing software applications for automated test and measurement and also covers test and validation for new products. What is your typical day like?My day to day role at ETL includes developing software applications with LabVIEW, testing the software application I have developed and presenting the result to my team for validation. Best part of the job?The best part about my job is having a positive impact on our products and processes. My role improves the quality of the products ETL manufactures, reduces the adjustment time in production and satisfies the internal and external customers. Biggest challenge you have faced?My biggest challenge so far was moving to UK, knowing that I'm not fluent in English. What do you enjoy most about being an engineer?I really enjoy being an engineer, overcoming technical problems and proposing solutions that make life easier for people. What is your advice for aspiring female engineers?In terms of intellectual capacity there is no difference between women and men.
